Whether you need to study or just complete some homework this is such a cute date idea for a teen!
They are fun, easy to plan and can be done almost anywhere. Best of all it creates time for open communication which every dating couple should have.
To get planning here are some tips:
1. Pick your activity- It could be studying at the library, reading on the beach, playing board games or doing arts & crafts together. You can even pack up snacks/lunches and make it an afternoon full of activities! Or even go on a night hike together.
2. Don't think about dating- Yes I know this sounds prude but what I mean by that is don't feel like you have to be dating to hang out. If you're dating somebody and spending time with them is a requirement for your relationship then do it!
3. Make a date night- This may seem like over kill but sometimes the only way to study together in a stress free environment is to schedule a specific time to do it. You'll enjoy yourselves more knowing you have something fun ahead of you.
4. Be Open- Communicate about what each other needs from the other person while studying so nobody feels stressed or annoyed by their partner. Also, don't take any distractions personally and try not interfere if the other person has no interest in dating at that moment ect..
5. Having different schedules? No problem!- Meet up during lunch break, split a day into studying and dating, plan a study date for the end of the night when you know you both have free time or go on a walk while talking on the phone.
6. Have fun- No matter what make sure you keep it light and don't be too serious about school work. Make sure to give everybody enough personal space so nobody feels overwhelmed or ready to snap at somebody after an hour of dating!
7. Plan another one soon- Once your homework is done invite each other over for movie night, try your local arcade or just ask them out on a normal date night.

For some reason, when I think of my dating years study dates always pop into my head. My boyfriend and I are in college and we still have study dates. Multi-tasking dating is always great! I think dating when you are in school makes dating that much more fun because it’s something you get to do together. On the other hand dating during finals week can be a nightmare if somebody doesn’t want to study at all! There needs to be balance dating and studying whether you are dating your best friend, your crush or even somebody new this date idea will benefit everybody. You still get time with each other while getting things done. Some of my favorite memories are based around studying/homework. Whether we were dating for two months or two years our study dates usually include laughing over crazy stories, intense competition on who finishes first, talking about what stresses us out the most about school work/life, sharing snacks, taking funny pictures in the library (I usually won this battle) and most importantly I feel like dating somebody while studying is a great test for dating. See how somebody acts when they don’t get their way or what they do if you are not paying attention to them during that hour. It also gives you time to see if your personalities can actually work together in stressful situations!
Every dating couple should have good communication which every dating couple should have. To get planning here are some tips: 1. Pick your activity- It could be studying at the library, reading on the beach, playing board games or doing arts & crafts together. You can even pack up snacks/lunches and make it an afternoon full of fun! It all comes down to what makes dating easy and enjoyable for both people. If somebody hates reading than there is no reason to choose a studying date at the library. Think about how much work you need to do and what could make studying with your partner as least stressful as possible. 2. Do activity first- I know sometimes dating can be so exciting that we want to jump right into it but if we plan an active dating day than everybody knows exactly what they are getting into! Nobody wants to feel like they wasted their time on something boring when the time was supposed to be all about dating somebody special. 3. Be honest- Just because somebody might not enjoy doing homework doesn’t mean that person isn't smart enough or even
